welcome to the zoo FBG....
what sized boat do you have.....the usual message is to run the tank down about half...then stick STABL into the tank and fill it with gas...(ie petrol for you euro's).........by the time you run it back to your trailer...it's all into the carb ..etc....the best thing to do is to is run stabl and then drain the carb if you have a carbed engine....if you have FI..just run it till the stabl gets to the injectors and your done for the season...
the reason you don't want to leave a tank half full (or empty depending on your outlook in life) is the fuel tank will condense the moisture and collect water into the tank....
people ALWAYS questions that until it happens to them and they wonder why they got so much water in the tank...well....duuuuuh...condensation.!!!!..
so..yes...add stabl...fill it..run it...fog the engine...remove the water in the manifolds and block..etc....done...your safe for the winter...
