Increased traffic is good. Great even. but be careful what you wish for. More is not necessarily better, or quality. I can think of a very large site that is incredibly active and chock full of complete stupidity and a lot of really, really bad advice. Like why a cinder block and rope are a perfectly suitable anchoring system. Rhino liner is cheap alternative to non-skid paint....or bottom paint for that matter. Much of it reads like "Red Green on Boating". It serves as great comic relief.

I think I know the site of which you speak and agree 100% about the comic relief. Then there is that other huge site that if the TRUTH be known is full of high strung, high on themselves, high on their style boats and who are more often than not a bit more critical than helpful.......IMO........but with some comic relief as well......

and we try not to bite heads here....to us ...there's no stoopid question...there's no wrong answers as long as the info isn't going to get someone hurt.....
the main thing for this site is to support maxum owners and thier boats....to enjoy boating...and to do it safely!!...

Brianm, I too know the other site of which you speak. LOL.
I think the analogy is like a small group of friends, for example a handful of folks at the marina, or a backyard BBQ, as compared to Boat show on the weekend or a general admitance music festival. Each has it's merit, but the quality of socialization and conversation with everyone at the boatshow or music festival is much different than with a handful of folks chewing the fat in a BBQ or around the dock. I'm not sure either is necessarily bad, just different experience.
