New Top and Enclosure

This past winter I attempted to have a new enclosure made but it took the guy two months just to get everything forward of the arch finished and the quality was not up to our standards. We canceled that deal and found another company who came and did everything in two days, including everything forward of the arch. We extended the top back over 3' to get rid of the annoying slant back. The top is Sunbrella Supreme, top side is Captain Navy and the underside is Linen. The vinyl is Crystal Clear 20/20 which I find to be as clear as Stratoglas (what was used by the first installer).

I had all the valences and laps made with 1" Velcro so everything seals up tight. I added a few snaps to the underside of the arch and can pull back and snap one or both of the front glass. I also had a full screen for the front made. It uses the same zippers on the sides and snaps on the windshield that the vinyl uses but attaches at the top to the Velcro so I don't have to unzip the glass. The large back panel also has screen. This works perfectly in the evenings, letting the breeze through but not the insects.

Amazing the difference having the navy color versus the beige that I have. It really makes the boat look great.

Thanks to all. We went with the navy as the other 3700 on the lake as well as the other Maxum cruisers are beige. We needed to add so color.

Nice job! We just replaced the eisenglass and top this summer, and it was a pain in the butt! I like the navy, we stuck with the blah beige that was on the boat before.

Just a thought, if you still have the old fabric from the top, we made substitute front windows for when we aren't boating because in the fall and spring, our marina has trees which have sap that sometimes falls on the boat, and on the eisenglass. It looks kinda funny, but I think it is going to help us extend years on the front glass, because we only use it when we are up there and need to use it. Plus, the front glass is the most important anyways! Here is a pic of what it looks like!
