Default De-winterizing

Hi Boaters!

I live near Vancouver BC.
Believe it or not, I've just pulled my 1900SR3 out of winter storage and I'm getting ready for the boating season.
The boat has a 5.0 MPI and was fully winterized prior to storing.
Do I need to do anything special before firing it up?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Thumbs up

if it was totally winterized normally with fogging...then make sure water is applied to the drive........start engine...wait for smoke to clear....stick in water..run like mad...

ok.....if it was winterized...and the oils haven't been changed...warm up the engine....change the oil in the drive and engine...new filters...fuel and oil...change impeller....check alignment.......run engine in water like mad until time to change oil again or fill up fuel tank..whichever comes first.......

Thanks seapuppy!

It was fully winterized with all fluids changed. The impeller wasn't changed though. The engine and drive have about 200 hrs in total. Is there a way to tell if the impeller needs changing or should you just do it yearly regardless of the hours?

Thanks

since your impeller is in the drive ...it's really easy to remove the lower unit and install the impeller....they cost about 25 bucks for the impeller itself...if you have the mechanic do it..it's gonna cost you about 100 bucks Plus....so....6 bolts and you can drop it yourself....I'd do it each yr...cheap insurance....they are good for about 200-300 hrs of normal use....if you've ran it into the sand any..that will reduce hrs .....

my opinion??.replace them each yr along with the first oil change...
