Fuel Flow Meter(s) Installation

Has anybody installed flow meters on their Merc engines? If so....details please. including whetheror not this installation would void any warranties? Thanks.

To my knowledge it will not void any warrenties. What else specifically are you wanting to know about the install. What brand flow meter do you have?

I got the Navman Twin Engine 3100F fuel flow meter (AA02625R). and another transducer kit (AA002284R)...to monitor 2 engines. The Navman seemed to display more parameters than others I looked at, and was definitly cheaper than models from Floscan and others.
I guess that's it, I was originally using a carbuerated engine manual to check out the fuel system, and it stated in bold print, not to add anything like an extra fuel filter, because of the possibility of increasing the fuel line back pressure....which they stated would be a no-no (lean condition). I just got my MPI manual, and could'nt find any such warnings. So I assume it won't be a problem.

Hi , last summer I mounted the Navman Fuel 2100 in my Maxum 2300 sc Mercruise 7,4L MPI with out any problems.

Since I started this thread quite awhile ago...I probably need to end it by answering my own question. The istallation, and subsequent running of the Navman 3100 fuel flow meter proved to have no problems, and runs beautifully, after 2 season's running. And may I also add that for anyone contemplating this addition, it's a great way to sync (not sink...excuse the pun) engines, and watching for potential engine problems, and gives a more accurate method for knowing how much fuel you have onboard. Thanks to those who offered advice.
