Hello All;
The flushmount compass on my '91 2300 SCR needs to be replaced, but I can't remove it from the cockpit! I've taken out the three screws that appear to secure it, but it is still solidly attached! Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!

I only guessing that they used a sealant/adhesive as well as the screws.
If that is the case you just need to get a sealant de-bonder sold at all marine stores.
You won't need much.

Thanks Ken, that makes sense. It sure is mounted solidly! I don't suppose anyone would know what size compass that is?

Hope that’s it - I had to remove our pulpit on the Bay one time. Couldn’t believe how well the adhesive held. After removing the 6 bolts, railing and spraying the de-bonder, my admiral was still able to hang off the end while I kept prying it up.
Sorry no idea on the compass size?
