I'm looking at putting a shoot thru the hull transducer on a 93 2700 Cruiser.

Has anyone had success doing this? Where did you epoxy the transducer? Anything else I should know?

I have the 2700 also...my transducer is a shoot thru and they put it about ctr line in the engine bay..right in front of the pully by about a ft.....works reasonably well....except when it reads 1.5 ft while we're running full tilt when I know the water depth is better than a hundred feet..sure gets your attention fast!!..
but really ..it can be placed pretty much anywhere there is clear water under the transducer.....best is in the engine bay where the water is still clear back there while on plane.....hope this helps...and welcome to the zoo!!! :D

I just put a Humminbird HDR610 in as a replacement for the factory Standard Horizon DS41. I mounted the puck transducer 1 inch right of centerline when facing the fuel tank, as close to the tank as possible. I tested several positions and this one was pretty accurate. Further away from the centerline caused the puck to shoot at an angle giving false readings (the deeper the water the further it ran off). Be sure to use the slow cure epoxy. My biggest challenge was running the cable back to the dash!
