new depth finder??

This is another subject from my last outing. The lake I went to on Saturday is extremely full. Once the water level starts dropping, new areas of extremely shallow water will start showing up. I have no depth finder and would really like one.

Who has what as far as depth finders and how do you like them? What recommendations do you have? ie., manufacturer, model, and how is it mounted, how accurate, ease of use, ease of installation, etc.

I have a small dash to mount into. There's not a lot of room around the dash itself.

Look at Fish finders- Easy to install, (just need to find a spot for the display) about the same money but more functionality!
When we had a 18' I mounted it on the passenger side and turned it to face me while driving.
It also gave the admiral something to do other then passing me a
beverage :wink:
