Good afternoon to you all...

I have a question and was hoping someone might know the correct answer. My wife and I have a 1997 Maxum 1900 sc w/ a 4.3L MercCruiser. I just pulled it out of storage last week and am trying to get it ready for the summer. Since it is relatively new to us (it will be our second summer), I thought that I would change out the spark plugs. While checking the old ones, I noticed that the gaps of the plugs are a bit different. Any idea what the right gap would be for these plugs? Thanks for helping out a newb... :help:

I wouldn't go by the gap on the plug out of the box. Even if I buy a Honda plug for a Honda motor and they tell me it's 'pre-gapped' it's rarely correct. I've opened new boxes with zero gap. You can close the gap by dropping the box on the box on the ground. I would either check the gap on the plugs being pulled and use that to gap the new plugs, or I would use the manual. Either way, I would check and regap every plug manually.
