Hi All,
Does anyone know what the original equipment anchor was on a 2001 2900SCR? The anchor I have is not holding and I find myself drifting too much. I have about 10-12 ft of chain and it appears to be biting well just not holding. Thanks in advance.

Anyone care to recommend one for a 2900?

I have the same delema Cymru - anchor is a wee bit too small.
Didn't someone post a good write up on anchor sizes here a short time ago? Bella maybe? Will have to search for it.....

EDIT: Found it, but credit goes to Shrew. http://www.maxumownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php/1804-anchor

I run a 22# Delta plow or wing type anchor for my 3300SCR, I do all My boating in shallow water under 50' in the mighty Miss River. But the current and wind can be treacherous on the demands of anchoring in the sandy muddy bottom we have. I found that the best for me is a (believe it or not) 100% chain rode 5/16" proof coil. I have never drifted with it. The Lewmar Windlass makes that possible. Another nice thing is the chain gyspy never slips like rope can after it is wet or worn a bit. Thats just me though in these circumstances-
