Good evening learned gentlemen. Question. Any hints on troubleshooting a silent engine alarm. Took the the craft into the shop with complaints of no start. Turned out to be a rotor cap and coil. (Its only ten years old, whats the problem?)
Upon return the engine alarm did not sound. Went back into the shop and still doesn't sound. (It worked very well before the start problem) They had the dc switch panel off for some reason and I looked around for a disconnect lead. No really observable items. I guess my question is where is the alarm horn located. My guess is behind the dc switch panel somewhere. I believe the system sounds when one or more of the sensors is grounded out, completing the circuit. This would seem to be a hot lead to the horn, with circuits to the oil press, temp and lube circuit switches. But where do I look for the horn?
Any hints? Thanks for reading.
