so i was on the water and the navigation switch just desintegrated into a dozen pieces, we pulled the wires off and promptly blew the fuse trying to hook up the lights.
driving without lights being more preferable to paddling. we set off.
now ive got a new switch and i have no idea how to wire it up correctly.
there are eight poles on the dpdt switch. and seven connections available to put on them which leaves me with a ton of options.
connectors:
yellow wire (4)
dark blue wire with jumper
two wires coming into one connection
three connectors from one wire. (double jumpered)
any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

two into one connection is gray with red stripe, and blue with yellow stripe
yellow is singular wire
dark blue wire goes to two connectors connected by a jumper.
finally gray with a blue stripe is one wire going to three connectors.
the three connectors confuses me greatly because if there are only two sides to the switch??? then does the third go to the neutral and possibly control the lighted end of the switch??
but if it controls the lighted end of the switch why not just have a different switch that doesnt require a jumpered wire?
and if its the ground then why not have a different more approapriate switch again.
i'm pretty sure the wiring also does not require a ground control at the switch as the lights would be grounded after the actual bulbs and not at the switch.
i wish i had been the one to have taken the wires off the switch originally.

If you use a meter it should be pretty easy to figure out. On mine I had a yellow wire that provides the light in the switch. There is a hot power lead for the system. Then I have connections with two wires on them. My switch is off in the center and ancor in the up and nav in the down, this changes if the bow light is on or not. In the ancor position only the stern light is on. My switch does have a ground connection for the internal switch light. (it lights up when it is on).
