impeller installation for 2003 maxum 2500SE 5,0 MPI bravo 3

does any one know the location of the impeller on a 2003 Maxum 2500SE
with a bravo 3 drive? Is this one hard to do yourself or can it only be done by qualified machanics? Im new to boating and just bought this boat a few weeks ago. its been all fun and no troubles yet, I just want to be ready when I take her out of the water this fall.

Hi Jim...the impeller is located on the stbd side of the engine under the fuel filter ....it's best to get a spare impeller and keep it onboard in your spares kit.....it's only 2 bolts and a couple of hoses....I'm getting too friggin old to bend myself into the engine bay even though my engine room can hide kids...but the mear fact of it being low and all ..I think I'll pay the dealer to do the work for me.......
talk to the dealer too..he can zerox a copy of the breakdown of the impeller housing and it shows the mounting and all.......
